ETSU Men's Soccer teams up with Vitesse Soccer
The ETSU Men's Soccer Program will be working with Vitesse Soccer to elevate regional soccer in East Tennessee. Head Coaches Scott Calabrese and Ian Luya will help to establish a premier training infra-structure for the serious soccer player with the desire to compete at the highest level. Their focus will be on training players twice a week and advising the club at large. "As we continue to develop the ETSU Men's Soccer program," says Head Coach Scott Calabrese, "we also wish to make an impact in the local soccer community, as a way of giving back to the community that supports us. I think a great model to emulate is that of Creighton University in Omaha, NE. The Creighton Men's Soccer Team is recognized as a perennial top 20 program, and have a significant amount of their players coming from their hometown and surrounding areas. They are proof that if the lead program and the community embrace each other, players can be developed to play at the top levels of college soccer." Vitesse Soccer tryouts are May 16-19.
